A movie poster is an printed poster used to advertise the film. The advertising is often done by using movie posters that vary in size and content as suited for the target market. Movie posters normally contains images with some text. Today's movie posters prefer using images of lead characters as against the illustrations which were used way back in 1990's. Thus it means has the use of illustrated posters stopped?
No you can still find such illustrated movie posters in places where printing is less affordable or places not having legal rights to screen the international titles. In such places theaters still rely on local artists to develop their own movie promo. With sky being limit to these artists they go way beyond the realities, sometimes depicting scenes not happening in movie to create these inspiring posters. Enjoy taking a look!! ReplyDeleteYou most welcome!!
DeleteI have traveled a lot and find that posters are more popular in other countries other than the US. I don't know if it due to the tough copyright laws. They are eye catching and do make you stop and look and think about them.
