Aged 97 - Partially blind man creates a masterpiece with Microsoft Paint

Hal Lasko aged 97 was diagnosed with wet macular degeneration, which weakens vision in the center of the visual field. He thought his art making days were over till the time he discovered computer and Microsoft Paint. Hal Lasko got a second chance to make art history with help of zooming feature of Microsoft Paint, which helps him to zoom enough to see each and every pixel.

Creating art with software like MS Paint is often a nightmare for modern-day graphic artists, but Hal Lasko likes spending nearly 10 hours every day creating gorgeous masterpieces 1 pixel each time. Hal Lasko used to work as a typographer, drawing a myriad of interesting fonts, when that kind of thing had been drawn manually, and made maps during Second World War. He retired over the 70′s yet art remained a major part associated with his living, and he felt devastated as soon as he started to lose his eyesight. The painting days for Hal were over till the time his family introduced him to Windows 95′s Microsoft Paint, which allowed him to zoom into pixel levels, enough for him to determine what he was doing. From that moment in, Grandpa spent most of his days moving pixels and making unique artworks that combine pointilism along with 8-bit art.
